During the COVID-19 pandemic, I worked with the Department An Taoiseach to create a compassionate and practical communication campaign to encourage young adults to socialise safely within public health guidelines.
In Phase 1, the social media campaign addressed evolving restrictions, case spikes, and public opinion. Recognising unfair criticism of young people, we launched the #Antiviral movement with top TikTok and Instagram creators, who asked Deputy Chief Medical Officer Dr. Ronan Glynn crowd-sourced questions from their followers.
Phase 2 responded to a drastic shift in the Ireland's COVID-19 situation in 2021. With daily cases soaring, we aimed to convey the severity, promote health measures, and empathise with discouraged young adults. Through interviews and a mini-documentary that was distributed on social platforms, we humanised the impact of the pandemic on individuals.
